THE NEED

The future of the Catholic Church in America is, in large part, in the hands of priests who speak English as a second or third language.

By some estimates, 1 in 3 seminarians in this country were born outside the USA. These men are treasures to the Church in our country. They are men of the highest caliber, and their deep faith, strong formation, and virtuous example have the potential to transform the Catholic Church in the United States.

However, in far too many parishes across the country, their messages are not fully reaching the hearts of their parishioners, who find it difficult to understand heavily accented English. This not only places a strain on parishioners, but is also a source of stress and frustration for many priests themselves, who find it challenging to connect with the people they love and serve.

THE SOLUTION

Accent modification can be an integral part of priestly formation for men from all over the world. When their speech sounds clear and natural, they are more effective at building professional and pastoral relationships, at leading a parish, and at evangelizing in their community. Forming priests is an enormous investment. Equipping them to be effective communicators maximizes the impact of that investment for years to come.

We will work to accommodate the needs of your parish, diocese, or seminary. We partner with priests and seminarians to reduce the "accent barrier" and help equip them for fruitful, fulfilling lives of service in this most honorable vocation.
